Specialties
Neurodiversity
I have focused much of my career on working with neurodiverse women and men whose cognitive profile and way of experiencing the world leaves them feeling misunderstood. My clients often describe themselves as “highly sensitive,” and have experienced challenges with interpersonal relationships and executive functioning.
Anxiety
Clients often experience worry related to interpersonal relationships, the future, and things they have limited control over. Together we build personalized coping skills to encourage an empowered approach to life’s challenges.
Depression
With clients, I often describe depression as feeling as if you’ve “fallen into a hole that you can’t climb out of.” I work with clients to develop the skills to identify the indicators of depression for themselves and encourage simple, accessible tools to use to reemerge from depressive episodes more easily.
Life Transitions
From new relationships, new schools/jobs, and new family members to the loss of loved ones, loss of relationships, and loss of consistency, change is a difficult burden to bear on one’s own. I work with my clients to find self compassion, purpose, and reimagining for themselves in the face of change.
Family Support
It is a joy to support families to identify challenging communication patterns and relationship dynamics and to introduce and encourage the application of solutions towards our most important long lasting, healthy relationships; those we share with our family.
Couples Work
I often refer to myself as your “translator,” taking a collaborative, strength-based approach to help partners improve communication, deepen emotional connections, and navigate conflicts with empathy, mutual respect, and practical strategies for lasting change
Supervision
For new and budding clinicians (LCSWAs) in MA I offer virtual and in-person supervision as you work to achieve your LICSW designation.
